Gold Awards are rare

Kisiel Group received a Secured by Design (SBD) Gold Award for the new homes that we have built in West London. This was in recognition of meeting a high standard of crime prevention and was achieved through liaison with an SBD trained Officer from the Metropolitan Police Service.

Everyone wants to be able to live safely in their own homes and we only wish to build a home that meets this requirement. It was important to consider security from the start as the houses have basements and are set back from the road in a small cul-de-sac. A secure home is often taken for granted but at Kisiel Group we make sure that this element is included in the designs, even if it is not expressly requested by a client.

During the construction of the four homes, regular meetings were held with Met Police Designing Out Crime Officer, Stuart Hutchinson, to ensure that the physical security specification of the home and the layout and landscaping met with the vigorous standards required. He was pleased that we took on board all his advice and he was able to make the top Gold award.
